Rich Item Text Fields

RichItem

This section introduces a feature that allows clients using e-commerce platforms and ordering apps to add a title, description, a picture as well as the allergens to items in the Back Office. These external information can then be pulled via our APIs to be added to the e-commerce platform and/or an ordering app. This feature is called “RichItem”.

To learn how to use the RichItem feature on your Restaurant K Series (formerly iKentoo) POS, please refer to this section of the POS manual. 

Note: To add or change the languages of the items’ description, please refer to the Items languages section of this manual.

Adding RichItem information

1. Go to Configuration -> Items -> Items -> locate the item you’d like to add information to -> click on “Edit”
2. At the bottom of the item’s page, in the “Description” section, click on the “+”.
3. Fill out the information.
4. Save the changes by clicking on the blue "Save" button.

Upload a picture

RichItem will ask you to crop the image, we advise you to upload a square image.

1. Click on “Change picture”.
2. Select the picture you want to add to the item.
3. Save the changes by clicking on the blue "Save" button.

Text editor by language

It is possible to add formatting to the text in the text editor:

• Bold
• Italic
• Underline
• Ordered list
• Unordered list
• Hyperlink: To add an hyperlink you select a word and then press on the link button, a modal will ask you to input the hyperlink.

Adding allergens

For each item, you can add an allergen from the list when applicable. To do so:

1. Click on the field next to “Allergens”.
2. Select the allergens of the item.
3. Save the changes by clicking on the blue "Save" button.
