This section titled "Users" allows you to manage the POS device and Back Office access rights of users and user groups.
Accessing the Users
- Click on "Configuration" at the top of the screen.
- Select the "Users" tab.
Note: Use the Search box to quickly find the user or user groups you are looking for. Use the filters above the table columns to sort or filter rows based on a specific criterion.
POS users
This page allows you to create, edit and remove POS users and manage user rights on an individual level. Each row of the table is a POS user.

- Click on "Configuration" at the top of the screen.
- Select the "Users" tab.
- From the drop-down menu options select "POS users".
Create a POS user
To create a POS user, you have two options: manual creation and creation by importing a user list.
Create a POS user manually
- Click on the blue "Add a new user" button on the left of your screen.
- Fill in the required information:
- Rights and access depend on the role of the user and group of users the user is part of.
- If you are using iButtons (Dallas Keys), enter the key number of the user in the "iButton ID" box.
- Select the discounts that the user has the right to give/apply.
- Save the changes by clicking the blue "Add user" button.
Note: To be able to set up allowable discounts and add a user to a group, these items must have been created beforehand.
POS users group
This page allows you to create, edit, and delete user groups and manage user rights at the group level. Each entry in the list is a POS user group.
In Restaurant K Series (formerly iKentoo), all users must be assigned to a user group. A user group makes it easy to manage the rights assigned to different people that can access the device. To create a POS user group, go to Back Office under Configuration Users POS user groups. You can add users to a group by selecting it, then clicking on Edit members, and then clicking on the + next to Add a new Member. If you already have a user group, do the same to add members.

- Click on "Configuration" at the top of the screen.
- Select the "Users" tab.
- From the drop-down menu options select "POS user groups".
Create a user group
- Click on the blue button "Create a new POS user group" located at the bottom left of your screen.
- Enter the name of the group.
- Save the changes by clicking on the blue "OK" button.
Set up POS user groups rights
- After creating the group, locate the user group that you want to edit.
- Click on the gray arrow on the right of the chosen group line.
- Select "Configure" from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the required information (some remarks and details):
- "POS access": check this box if users in this group are not allowed to use a device (the device can only be used by users of this group for clocking hours).
- "User roles": Select the actions that users in the group can perform.
- "Settings":
- Select the access rights to the reports of users who are members of the group.
- Check the box This group defines the discounts available to its members if you want to manage the authorization to make discounts at the group level. If you want to be able to assign individual rights at the user level, dont check this box.
- "User float settings": allows you to link a cash float to a user group.
- Save the changes by clicking on the blue "Save" button.
Note: In the user group, if under "Roles" you have selected "User is a POS manager," you will not have access to all the options listed under "Roles".
Adding members to a POS user group
- After creating the group, locate the user group that you want to edit.
- Click on "Edit members" located on the right of the line of the chosen group.
- Find the member who does not belong to any group in "Add a new member".
- Select the member, then click "+" to add it to the group.
Note 1: To add a member to a POS user group from the POS user groups page, the user must not belong to any group and must be active.
Note 2: The "Hide inactive members" box allows you to sort your group members by their status.
