Business Report Breakdown (Accounting Group View)

Section 1 – These totals include “Service Charge” and “Tax” but they are “Less discounts”

Section 2 – This highlights the Total Service charge on each “Accounting Group” eg. Sales-Drink of the 552.96 taxable income only 407.45 of this was susceptible to “Service Charge” this is because either some drinks did not have service charge added or the customer refused to add Service Charge/ wanted this removed.

Section 3 – This is the Tax value associated with each Accounting Group, minus Service Charge because Service Charge is discretionary and therefore Tax Exempt.

Section 4 – Total without Tax is the column which interests the accountants and business owners is the actual takings for the day, minus all the taxman’s part and the generated Service Charge amount, this is known in the industry as the NET NET.
